FAQ
Sanctuary Financial Planning
How do I know if working with a financial advisor is right for me?
Everyone benefits from access to independent, objective financial advice. The benefit of working with us is we can help you with more than just investment strategy (and we don’t require you to have a minimum size portfolio). Everything starts with mindset, so we can help you understand your own money story that forms your financial decision-making behavior. We can help you with your financial framework, educational planning, retirement planning, investment planning, insurance analysis, implementation and so much more. Our goal is to help you succeed financially, whatever that means to you.
In what step of the divorce process is best for me to meet with a financial advisor and why?
The sooner the better. An advisor can be a critical member of the team both during the divorce process (including helping you navigate equitable distribution) and after. If you have individual or joint assets, you’ll want to consider the long term implications of how those are distributed. If you’ve shared the same financial advisor as your soon to be ex, you may want outside guidance, especially if you are in the preliminary planning stages. Don’t have an investment portfolio?
Whether I'm a breadwinner or a stay-at-home mom, what value will I get out of working with you?
Planning provides a framework for navigating all your financial decisions. Having a plan in place can be of great value when you’re working through the settlement process as it can provide clarity into how different scenarios will impact you and your family financially. And then after the divorce, the right advisor can provide ongoing support and guidance.
How do I afford this if I am a stay-at-home mom or don't have access to the finances?

I also offer group workshops and other offerings besides our core service of hourly planning.
