How do I know if a Certified Divorce Coach® is the right path for me?
If you're going through a divorce, thinking about divorce, or still having communication issues post divorce, divorce coaching is right for you. If the very idea of all the preparation and paperwork organization sounds overwhelming to you, having a divorce coach on your side will benefit you. If you feel like you could use support with setting boundaries, improving your communication with your ex and/or divorce team, or even general emotional support, working with a divorce coach could be the right path for you.
In what step of the divorce process is best for me to meet with a divorce coach and why?
At any stage a divorce coach would be helpful. However, at the start of your journey would be ideal to help set you up for the best possible outcome for you.
Whether I'm a breadwinner or a stay-at-home mom, what value will I get out of working with you?
Divorce coaches are a great value to your divorce team. We can help you strategize, give you resources, draft emails, and help you pull out what is needed for your case at a huge savings over going to an attorney with this first. We tend to think that an attorney can and will handle everything, and they can do a lot, but there are several administrative elements that a divorce coach can help you with for a much lower cost than your attorney’s hourly fee.
How do I afford this if I am a stay-at-home mom or don't have access to the finances?
I offer different session types to help provide a variety of solutions, whether you need a full coaching session, a mini strategy catch up sesh or an extended time to review email correspondence. You have the ability to work with me on a per-session basis, rather than feeling committed to the same length of time as your divorce timeline. Using the joint credit cards is always an option as it's all marital funds. You can ask a parent or friend to pay the fees as well if you want to keep this service quiet. Or use your own credit cards if you have them currently.
